Funrise’s Privacy Policy
We are committed to fulfilling our obligation to protect children from the unauthorized solicitation of personal information. We also acknowledge the prerogative of parents to decide what type of information they want to submit to us in that regard. What Information Is Collected
Generally, Funrise limits the collection of information to what is known as non-personally identifiable information that help us provide a better online experience. (See Cookies, ISP Addresses and Logs below.) From time to time, however, we may request limited personally identifiable information (e.g. email address, name, residence), as explained below, in order to conduct online contests or sweepstakes or offer other online activities (e.g. electronic postcards, newsletters).
Contests and Sweepstakes
Funrise may from time to time offer contests and sweepstakes, which may be entered online, through our social network channels like Facebook or through our mobile apps. To participate in a contest or sweepstakes, each participant is asked to provide their name, email address, city and state of residence. A participant’s email address is only used to contact that individual in the event they are selected as a contest winner. All the information collected by Funrise is securely maintained and used only for the purpose of conducting the contest or sweepstakes. Once the contest or sweepstakes is finished, we then delete any personal information collected.
Use of Information
Funrise uses or may use personally identifiable information an individual provides for such purposes as sending requested electronic postcards and email messages, conducting contests or sweepstakes, and responding to their questions regarding our products and services. Unless expressly stated elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, Funrise currently does not disclose to third parties personally identifiable information individuals provide, except from time to time, we may transfer, disclose or share such information with third parties who may be engaged by us specifically to handle and deliver certain online activities (e.g. conducting contests and sweepstakes). Such third parties have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. Additionally, in the event that all or substantially all of the assets relating to Funrise are transferred or sold to another entity, personally identifiable information submitted to us may be transferred to the acquiring entity. Finally, we may also disclose personally identifiable information to third parties in order to comply with law or requests by law enforcement agencies, to enforce our the terms and conditions of our Legal Notice or to protect the rights, property or safety of our website or apps, users of our website or apps and others.
Cookies, ISP Addresses and Log Data
Cookies are information files that your web browser places on the hard drive of your computer when you visit a website or one of our apps. Cookies cannot damage user files, nor can they read information from a user’s hard drive. Cookies allow websites to “remember” users activities on a website or activity in our apps as well as users visits to a site. At Funrise, cookies are used to determine the number of unique visitors to our website or apps over a given period. We do not store any personal information into cookies nor do we link or combine information collected through cookies to any personal information an individual submits online when participating in our activities. You can, of course, disable cookies on your computer by indicating this in the preferences or options menus in your browser.
Log data collected on web servers both within Funrise’s control and under the control of Funrise’s third party service provider, who is required to maintain such data on a confidential basis, supplies Funrise with aggregate information about the number of visits to different pages on our site. Funrise uses such aggregate information to improve access to our content based on our visitors’ browsers and operating system types to make our content available to as many individuals as possible. We do not link the log data collected to the personal information submitted online when participating in this contest.
When you access a page on our website, our servers log your Internet Service Provider (ISP) address for the purpose of system administration and aggregate information. Our servers also record your type of browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, or other browsers) or app and your operating system (e.g. Mac, Windows, iOS, Android). We do not link or combine this information to any personal information submitted online when participating in our activities.
Security
Funrise has taken steps to ensure that personally identifiable information collected in the future is secure, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to our database servers as well as electronic security systems and password protections which guard against unauthorized access.
